Challenge
A local 3PL warehousing + logistics service provider identified opportunities for growth through FBA Prep and Value-Added Services (VAS). Their team was experiencing technology issues which created problems in their process documentation and adherence, timely execution and superfluous labor hours. Many of these challenges stemmed from a breakdown in communication between the fulfillment team and ops leaders, and the result was a limit in their growth potential.
Solution
Acción began working in this facility on a small Cost-Per-Unit (CPU) project. As the client’s leadership observed our team’s work, we were asked to expand to their Pick + Pack department. Utilizing our hourly Managed Workforce, we discovered a lack of efficiency across the department. Our team met to dissect the data and present our findings to their leadership team, addressing the process, executive and hours issues, as well as our plan to remedy the issues. The Acción Team Lead who was assigned to this client kept in daily communication with them, and continued working hand-in-hand with their operations team to optimize their document processes and policies which previously had a significant negative impact on their bottom line.
